EUGENE
A Film by

Cast: Stuart G. Bennett, Megan Lee Ethridge, Ryan Reyes, Dave Hoche, Michele Matheson

Loneliness is a killer. The guy is 30-something and "technically" he is a virgin, I mean he gets laid obviously too seldom. He is too shy to hook up with anybody. He doesn't look like an idiot but he works for some redneck cowboy, cleaning up his stables and feeding horses. Of course that kind of job doesn't add to the self-esteem. I wonder if he's been just too lazy or too shy to learn something more decent and better-paid (sorry, all stable cleaners, if you're reading this) And so because of his shyness and poverty he's told by a couple of slutty chicks he might be gay. Hey, Eugene, listen to the woman and do the opposite! But no, he's going to find that out with a male prostitute. Our Agaeus just got fired, so why not... I wonder if people can get gay just because of stupidity, shyness, or laziness. Full Summary

If you're going to lift a review and use it as if it's your own by not showing the source, why not lift one that is more true to the point:

Jake Barsha's feature debut is a brilliantly disturbing psychological thriller about a lonely bachelor who befriends a young hustler and his girlfriend, with disastrous results for all involved. Strong performances — Stuart Bennett in the lead role is particularly fine — support Eugene's taut script and beautiful camerawork.

or this one, from the "product description"

Do you know what life is? Life is whatever you want it to be! Eugene Prescott is a lonely man who desperately wants to make a connection with the world and people around him. Like most people he just wants to love and be loved. Tormented by loneliness and a deep need to connect with others, Eugene searches outside of himself for the answers only to find himself more perplexed by his confused sexual tendencies and repressed childhood memories. As the shield of his denial becomes stripped away, Eugene directs his rage inward. After a failed attempt at dating and an encounter with a hooker, Eugene s search leads him to the streets of Hollywood where he meets Josh, a young hustler who turns tricks to support a heroin habit, and Heather, a beautiful soft core porn model who dreams of starting a new life.
