The story is about the Carter Family with Father Phil as a succesful local retarateur who is married to Lisa. They have three offsprings which they named Karen, Tim and Matt. Tim, a worker of Phil’s restaurant married the latter’s daughter. Matt on the other hand, returned from college and introduces his fiancee to the family. But Matt was injured after crashing his own car and returned home to recuperate, only to find out that his family is that dysfunctional. Tim as an alchoolic, and the crash was brought about on how to handle himself as being gay, it was a suicide attempt. Full Summary
